From nature
I was happy to see Salim Patel's stone collection at a farmer's market. It was my 1st time to look at stones carefully, observing their colors and pattern. And I found very nice painting on the stones, which is a gift from nature.

Olympics in London
I am glad that my Love Collection is available with Olympic Games Collection together. It is meaning to me as I am in London this year..not able to visit Olympics, but I can feel the atmosphere in this city :)
SWATCH DRESSES UP FOR LONDON 2012 | Swiss fashion watch and jewelry maker Swatch kicks off the new year with a very stylish pair of sports-inspired Gent Originals, the Olympic Games Collection – London 2012. Created with one eye on fashion and the other on the upcoming London 2012 Olympic Games, these stylish Gents merge pro-sport aesthetics and classic London design. The designers have given a nod both to British fashion’s mod heritage and the London 2012 Olympic Games logo by means of a two-toned palette that’s sporty on the one hand and elegance on the other.

Daily travel
My last design company located in Hong Kong Island, which is 1.5 hour journey from my home. Boss questioned if I can travel for a long distance everyday. I replied that I will enjoy it cos' I can brainstorm on my design projects in my journey. Finally...I did not.I enjoyed different journeys from office to home: 1) Sheungwan > IFC > Central Pier > Enjoy night view on ferry > Tsimshatsui > Reading at design bookshop > Browsing at gadget shops > sleep on bus > dinner......or 2) Sheungwan > Street food > MTR to Tsimshatsui > browsing at boutique > visiting exhibitions at Cultural Centre > Buying magazine or getting freepaper > MTR to Taipo > Reading > Walking at riverside > Dinner.....or 3)........
I have flexible journey everyday~

Kit's new home
Kit moved into a new apartment recently. It is on the 9/F of an old building in Sham Shui Po. Every visitor climbed up stairs and had bbq on the roof...without lift~
The completed ceiling is covered by traditional 'Red blue white' canvas, which is a good match with his over-sized cushion beside the bookshelf. It is no doubt we enjoy listening to his second hand music player (although the player was moved to the roof, with the plug connected to the socket on 9/F during bbq...). It is awesome and the CD opening was fixed by Kit. I am interested in this circular Chinese calender...whose binding was modified by him.
It has the similar style with the apartment of a group of youths in the movie "Sixth Floor", and Kit agreed with it and he said it is what he has been looking for. I tried watching movie on the roof, whereas a projector was set and the movie image was projected on the wall of stair house. I hope we will have chance to watch it at Kit's roof.
It is amazing to have a huge blackboard next to his home entrance. Kit and Smally painted the wall black and everyone is free to draw with chalk. There are many interesting furniture in his home...such as stools transformed from wheel (used to be tied with wire), coffee table stacking with 'wooden bases'. Last by not least, there must be a place for alcohol for this alcohol lover. Kit is a frequent traveler and always bought different type of wine from other countries.

Lam Village
My mum and grandmother grew up in Lam Village. We visited this little village frequently before my grandmother has passed away. Grandma's house was surrounded by banana trees, and flowers which I could make my rings. I played alone at the balcony, and the bubble water was made with grandma's detergent which I appreciated most at her home!
I love the butter-mint candies at the cupboard...maybe they were bought by Aunt/Uncle at Marks & Spencer in London. Mum and grandma did not appreciate the wishing tree near their house. They wondered how it became a wishing tree, as it has been playing a role of 'protector' in the village. All of us liked the guava tree in front of the house although it was dying and only one guava hanging on the branch...we all were not allowed to pick it.
Lam Village is now a famous tourist spot in HK, due to the fame of wishing tree. However, it is never our favorite place again since it is crowed with visitors and houses...
I am glad to visit Ma Shi Po, which reminded me the old scene of Lam Village. I hope the natural environment can be remained in HK.
